Omar Khader, PhD, P.Eng - Senior Applications Engineer

Dr. Omar Khader received his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, M.Sc. in water resources from Egypt, and his PhD (2014) in Hydrogeology at Queen’s University. Following his PhD, Omar was a Postdoc Fellow at Queen’s University, where he developed basin scale fully coupled hydromechanical models to study the impacts of Pleistocene glaciation on the development of anomalous pressure heads. Also he worked as a Hydrogeologist and Groundwater Modeler investigating mine inflows and the performance of structure barriers using groundwater flow models. His expertise lies in developing conceptual models at basin scales incorporating the effects of brine densities, permafrost, and crustal flexure. Also developing local and regional scale groundwater flow and solute transport numerical models.
