South Saskatchewan River Basin

SSRB.jpg

The South Saskatchewan River and its tributaries are a major source of water for agricultural, municipal, commercial, and industrial users in southern Alberta (AB) and Saskatchewan (SK). To better evaluate risks from flood and drought to agriculture production in the basin, Aquanty in partnership with Dymac Risk Management Solutions and the Alberta Federation of Agriculture are developing a fully-integrated surface and subsurface flow and transport model in HydrogGeoSphere.

Project progress was presented at the 2016 AFA Annual General Meeting.

Athabasca River Basin

Aquanty is developing a fully-integrated HydroGeoSphere model of the Athabasca River Basin to investigate the potential impacts of climate change and anthropogenic water stresses on surface water and groundwater resources. This modelling efforts combines dynamically downscaled climate simulation with a high resolution fully-integrated surface and subsurface model.
