NEW version of HGS (January 2023 - Revision 2490)

The HydroGeoSphere Revision 2490 (January 2023) is now available for download.

This is a relatively modest release due to the busy holiday season, but we have included a few bug fixes related to the ‘mesh to gms’, ‘initial head from regional output file’ and ‘initial concentration from regional output file’ commands.

We have also included two new commands:

  • ‘track simulation progress’ generates and updates a CSV output file at each timestep which tracks the progress of the current simulation, giving you an easier way to monitor the simulation (as opposed to reading progress directly from the command line window)

  • ‘choose faces top block by centroid’ selects faces in the top sheet whose centroid is within the rectangular block defined by the user. This command is similar to ‘choose faces top block’ except it selects faces based on the centroid as opposed to vertices of faces.

We have also hosted the latest copy of HGS2VTU (a simple utility which reformats binary model outputs for visualization in ParaView) on the HGS Downloads page, making it easier for users to access.

As always, we are committed to the continued improvement to the user experience. Do you have suggestions for new commands or improvements to the user experience? Send your ideas to support@aquanty.com!

The latest installers are available on the HGS download page and a full list of changes/updates can be found in the release notes.
