NEW version of HGS (September 2022 - Revision 2441)

The HydroGeoSphere Revision 2441 (September 2022) is now available for download.

We have one new command this month, which continues our theme of helping users to apply spatially variable porous medium domain properties/zones:

  • ‘time varying pm zones from ascii file’ allows for time-varying zones by assigning porous medium zones from an ASCII file. Note that material properties (i.e. in the *.mprops file) do not change over time, but the spatial distribution of the porous medium zones that changes over time.

We’ve also added some checks when importing a 2D triangular element mesh to ensure that all nodes are accounted for an properly connected to the mesh (which invariably causes phgs.exe to crash if not). We have also resolved several user-reported bugs, including a bug related to boundary condition names (which should always be unique), and array dimensioning errors that arise when unsaturated tables are defined in grok instead of in a properties file.

As always, we are committed to the continued improvement to the user experience. Do you have suggestions for new commands or improvements to the user experience? Send your ideas to support@aquanty.com!

The latest installers are available on the HGS download page and a full list of changes/updates can be found in the release notes.
